Centennial Olympic Park:
Welcome to Centennial Olympic Park, downtown Atlanta's gathering place and lasting legacy to the 1996 Olympic Games. This 21-acre park boasts a variety of free, fun-filled, family entertainment throughout the year, including unforgettable fountain shows and much more. A key feature of the park is the Fountain of Rings interactive fountain which features shows with computer-controlled lights and jets of water synchronized with music played from speakers in light towers surrounding it. It forms a splash pad that was designed for children and adults to frolic in, which helps to cool off on hot summer days. The fountain consists of 251 jets that shoot 12 to 35 feet (3.7 to 10.7 m) in the air, and also creates a beautiful water sculpture that is essentially the front yard of the nearby museum. Centennial Olympic Park is perfect for a stroll to take in the sculptures, water gardens and lavish scenery.

Centennial Olympic Park is also home to two vast, soft-surface playgrounds with slides galore, funky armchair style swings, spinning seats in bright, inviting colors, and monkey bars. Much of this kid-friendly oasis sits beneath a bright awning that allows sunny warmth to shine through. One playground has a triple slide, as well as textured hills and nooks. The trio of brightly colored drums also delights kids and provides something for playmates to enjoy together.  This playground is great for all ages. The All-Children’s Playground is designed for universal accessibility.

The park will be under construction renovation until 2019 and certain areas of the park will be closed.  Check the website http://www.gwcca.org/park/ for updates on park closures.
